A peaceful goodbye, in the comfort of home.
Compassionate in home end-of-life veterinary care for dogs and cats in Chicago and the surrounding communities we serve. Your pet stays in a familiar place, with the people who love them.
This is not for active emergencies. If your pet is in immediate distress, contact a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital.

Care that comes to your living room
Four parts of the same practice: a goodbye at home, hospice support, a way to think about quality of life, and aftercare so the logistics are not yours alone.

- In Home EuthanasiaA peaceful, private goodbye at home. The visit includes gentle sedation so your pet can stay comfortable, then the procedure only when your family is ready.
- Hospice & Comfort CareA consultation focused on quality of life, comfort, pain, and what to expect as your pet’s condition changes.
- Quality-of-Life GuidanceAn educational survey to help you notice comfort, appetite, mobility, and good days versus bad days. It does not diagnose or decide for you.
- Aftercare CoordinationCremation coordination. A paw print and a fur clipping are included free. Additional memorial keepsakes are available for purchase.
How to know when it is time
The survey walks through hurt, hunger, hydration, hygiene, happiness, mobility, and whether there are more good days than bad. It is educational. It is not a diagnosis and it does not tell you what to decide.

Questions families ask
How do I know it's time?
Quality of life can be difficult to judge alone. Changes in appetite, mobility, breathing, pain, accidents, anxiety, or loss of interest in normal routines may be signs your pet needs additional support. We can help you evaluate comfort and next steps.
What happens during an in home appointment?
We begin by answering questions and giving your family time. When everyone is ready, your pet receives gentle sedation to help them relax and become comfortable. The final medication is given only after your pet is fully sedated.
Will my pet feel pain?
The goal is a calm and pain-free passing. Sedation is used first so your pet can become deeply relaxed and comfortable before the euthanasia medication is administered.
How long does the visit take?
Most visits take about 45 to 60 minutes, but we do not rush families. The timing depends on your pet's needs and your family's pace.
